Leftover rice recipes that any family can enjoy!!

Rice being simple, cheap, and filling has made it become a staple in most homes today.  However a lot of people don’t use it because even 2 cups can be too much for a family and they don’t want to have it go to waste.  Have no fear, I will show you ways to use that leftover rice so you can eat rice as often as you would like.  These basic leftover rice recipes should help you feel confident that rice will never get wasted in your home again.

1.  Mix a bag of vegetables, some mushrooms, an egg, and if you have some meat, throw that in too, cook it all together then add the leftover rice and you now find in your pan a fried rice.
2.  Make burritos as you normally would only when you heat up those beans throw a ½ c of rice in with it to make it more filling and get rid of the leftover rice.
3.  Mix the rice with some mushrooms, bell peppers and onions with a little pepper, salt and garlic.  Then you can stuff it in peppers, portabellas, or even stuff chicken with it.
4.  You can also add some butter, cilantro, salt, and a little lime to it to create a quick lime cilantro rice that goes well with many main dishes like chicken, tacos, etc.
5.  You can also make a simple Mexican rice by adding some stewed tomatoes to it and using it as a side to chimichangas, or burritos.
6.  For those who like rice pudding then just use leftover rice with some basics like sugar milk and raisins or add something else like blueberries or nuts.
7.  Add it to gravies then top meat with it.  An easy way to do this is pop open a can of cream of chicken soup add some rice and then spoon over baked chicken.

See the possibilities are infinite with some resourcefulness and a knowledge, now go make some rice for your family.
